LIONEL PREWAR 1045 FLAGMAN / OPERATING WATCHMAN

 

Lionel offered the 1045 Flagman from 1938 - 1942, and again after the war from 1946 - 1950. Also known as an Operating Watchman, this accessory is oversize, meant to accompany a standard gauge set. This is a prewar version with a nickel sign, a brown uniform, and a dark blue arm. Fully functional: raises flag when train passes.
